Perrault Blanket

i've been knitting on the lovely framed baby blanket that i found on Ravelry. i've adjusted the numbers a bit to adjust for a smaller gauge but i just love this blanket. i think i'd like to knit this again in a chunky yarn just to see how fast it would work up. anyway it's for a baby of one of my department managers. it's her first baby and i figured she should have something special to bring the baby home in. she doesn't want to know what she's having so i decided to go with my cream yarn but i left the lacy border on because it's what i liked most about this blanket.
my friend Kristen gave me a great tip about search preferences on Google, which i immediately changed to keep them from just offering search options and all adult content. wish i'd known about that sooner.

What a beautiful blanket! That will be a lucky baby and a lucky mom. I'm going to look for it on Ravelry right now!

At times in our family, we've had the computers set up with passwords that only we parents knew. So they could only be used when we were home. (Hard on the high school kids who had so much homework that required the computer, but safety trumps convenience.) We keep the computers in the most frequently used room in the house, monitors facing out into the room, etc. It's a tough world out there, and not necessarily a safe one for kids. I think you are wise parents to jump on this quickly!
